SPA 2026 Conference Program reviewers

The call for program reviewers is now open.

As a reviewer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the conference content and ensuring its quality. By participating, your timely and thoughtful reviews will enable the Conference Program Advisory Committee (CPAC) to finalise the program and contribute to the success of the conference. Completing reviews within the designated timeframe is crucial to this success, and your expertise and commitment are greatly valued.

Review process overview

• Estimated time commitment: Each review is designed to take approximately 10-15 minutes, possibly even less, depending on the complexity of the submission. Reviewers will be assigned approximately 10 submissions, resulting in a total time commitment of approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. 
  NB. The exact number of submissions per reviewer will depend on the total number of submissions received and the number of reviewers available.

• Review period: The review process will take place from 16 - 30 October 2025. All reviews must be completed and submitted by the final deadline.

• Review criteria and rubric: Reviewers will be provided with a detailed rubric and set of criteria to guide their evaluations. These criteria include the quality of research or practical application, clarity of content, and potential impact on the field. While constructive feedback is encouraged to help refine the submissions, reviewers are not expected to provide detailed individual feedback due to the volume of submissions received.

• Double-blind review process: Submissions will undergo a blind review, ensuring both submitter and reviewers remain anonymous to maintain fairness and impartiality. Every submission will be reviewed by at least two reviewers to ensure balanced evaluations and consistent feedback.

Support and guidance

All reviewers will receive a comprehensive guide on the review criteria and process, as well as access to a support team for any questions or concerns during the review period.
